Orissa India: the Knowledge Bush

Orissa India is known for producing some of the largest fruiting bodies among the classic Psilocibinbe Cubensis varieties. It was discovered by legendary explorer John Allen, who found it growing on elephant droppings in the state of Orissa, India.

Features of the Orissa India Strain

Orissa just like the genre Natalensis despite its natural genetic origin, it definitely stands out from other varieties of Psylocybe Cubensis. It usually grows in shrub-like groups, which means that from one "root" grows several fruitbodies joined by a foot. Under favorable conditions, it reaches a truly impressive size. It has large brown or walnut-colored hats and a relatively thick yet not too fleshy stem. Adult specimens shed dark even black spores.

Breeding traits

Orissa India is an aggressively colonizing strain, very quickly outgrowing its territory. Like most naturally occurring strains, it is quite hardy and not particularly demanding. In laboratory or breeding conditions it can surprise with huge yields. It is also quite vigorous, which means that from one substrate it often manages to get up to 5 "throws".

Summary

Orissa India is a shrubby individualist, different from others. Its relatively high concentration of active substances as well as its high yield places it high among cultivated varieties, but probably due to the rare availability of good genetics on the market, it does not enjoy due popularity.
