Hawaiian: That is, condensed energy

Hawaiian is a representative of the Copelandia group and more specifically Copelandia Cyanescens included in the Panaeolus family. Unlike its cousins Cubensis, it is characterized by relatively small fruiting bodies, reminiscent of the native Lanceolate Lysitiva. The popular Cyans, like the Lysiticas, are characterized by an incomparably high concentration of active alkaloids, including a 4/5 times higher content of Psylocybin compared to the classic representatives of the Psylocybine Cubensis family. 

Features of the Hawaiian Strain

Copelandia species are characterized by white, gray or brown caps and long, thin and brittle stems. They are delicate mushrooms, found in tropical and neotropical regions of both hemispheres. They grow in grasslands, on dead moss and grass, on dunes, decaying wood and on fertilizer. Their hats are never sticky and often crack when they dry out

History and Discovery 

The genus Copelandia was created by Abbé Giacomo Bresadola (1847-1929) as the subgenus Panaeolus, in tribute to Edwin Bingham Copeland (1873-1964), an American explorer who collected mushrooms in the Philippines and sent some of his harvest to Bresadola.

Breeding traits

Hawaiian belongs to the demanding fungi. It is not recommended for testing for inexperienced mycologists. Colonization is relatively fast, however, it is definitely not the pace Cubensis users are used to. The strain can surprise with a beautiful and extremely spreading yield, but due to its capriciousness it can also disappoint. During observation, it requires a lot of attention and frequent aeration, which should begin just after full colonization of the substrate.
